October 2025 Edition | Volume 2

October is breast cancer awareness month. Our team was honored to support this cause last week at the ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In addition to carrying the names of crew member’s friends and family members that have been impacted by breast cancer, two of our trucks carried special liveries: The No. 42 Utilitra Chevrolet driven by Matt Mills and the No. 45 DQS Solutions & Staffing Chevrolet driven by Bayley Currey.

We had a blast hosting our first ever Fan Day! Thanks to all of the fans who came out to make the day a success. We enjoyed driver Q&A sessions, an autograph session, pit stop demonstrations, and even a dunk tank.

This season we’ve been celebrating the #NieceDecade, as we look back at the first 10 seasons of the team. From debuting a new logo to start the year, to a special video series highlighting key team members. We ran special throwback paint schemes at team founder Al Niece’s home track at Texas Motor Speedway in May, and launched a commemorative 10 seasons T-Shirt in our team store too. We’ve enjoyed bringing the history of the team to you, our fans. Thanks for joining us on the ride – we’re looking forward to the next 10!

Each month we will introduce you to a member of the team. This month, we introduce you to Crew Chief and Competition Director Phil Gould.

Phil first joined Niece Motorsports in 2019, and quickly found victory vane with Ross Chastain – earning the team’s first win at Kansas Speedway in the seventh race of the season. Gould and Chastain would find victory lane three (four!) more times that season, ultimately finishing second in the championship standings.

Gould would later go on to form a successful pairing with Carson Hocevar, making the playoffs on three occasions and earning four wins in 2023.

Off the track, Gould enjoys spending time with his family. Recently engaged to his fiancé, Nacole, the 47-year-old has two sons, Matt and Justin.
