What is being announced?

Niece Motorsports has announced a new ownership structure. The owners of longtime partners DQS Solutions & Staffing and J.F. Electric have taken ownership stakes in the team. The team name, brand and leadership remain unchanged.

Will the team still be called Niece Motorsports?

Yes. There will be no name or branding changes. Niece Motorsports will continue to compete in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series under its current identity and looks forward to remaining an integral part of Team Chevy.

What role will Al Niece have going forward?

Al Niece will continue to support the team as its founder and a visible presence at races. This change allows him to return to enjoying racing as a passion – the reason he entered the sport – while entrusting operations to partners aligned with his vision.

Who are the new owners?

  • Josh Morris, CEO of DQS Solutions & Staffing: A workforce and business solutions firm already supporting Niece Motorsports with office operations such as HR and accounting, as well as being a team sponsor.

  • Greg Fowler, CEO of J.F. Electric and his family: A respected electrical contractor and long-term sponsor of the team. Candace Fowler is owner of Utilitra, another Niece Motorsports sponsor.

Are there changes in team leadership?

Yes, in title only.

  • Cody Efaw is now officially President & CEO

  • Amanda Efaw is now Chief Marketing Officer

  • Phil Gould is now Director of Competition as well as Crew Chief for the No. 45 team

All three have played critical leadership roles within the organization since the inception of the team and it’s thanks to their dedication that the team has achieved its success over the term.

Driver Lineup

We are actively working to solidify our 2026 driver lineup, but do not have any announcements to make at this time. We will release that information as those plans are finalized.

Is this change a sign of financial problems?

No. This is a strategic business decision made from a position of strength. It formalizes an existing relationship with key partners who are investing in the future of the team.

What will this transition allow the team to do?

With expanded resources, Niece Motorsports is investing in:

  • Internal marketing and PR capabilities

  • Elevated hospitality experiences for partners and guests

  • Full-service video production offerings

  • Enhanced pit crew training infrastructure

  • Continued in-house truck manufacturing, from chassis to body

Is Niece Motorsports still seeking sponsors?

Yes. While the ownership group includes two valued partners, the team remains committed to collaborating with new brands. These enhanced capabilities only increase the value Niece Motorsports can offer current and future sponsors.
