Throwing Back to the Past.
At the team’s home race in Texas this year, all three trucks sported throwback paint schemes which resembled iconic liveries of the past. Kaden Honeycutt’s truck called out the very first Niece Motorsports scheme, while Bayley Currey and Matt Mills both paid homage to Ross Chastain’s race-winning schemes from 2019.
2016
The year it all began.
On November 4, 2016, Niece Motorsports competed its first Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway with driver, Casey Smith. With only one truck and three employees behind the team, it was off and running. On that day, the team would see humble results, starting 24th and finishing 23rd. This effort would lay the ground work for what was to come beginning in 2017.

2017
Starting to take shape.
Originally, 2017 was planned to be a part-time year for the team to get its footing secured in the sport. However, this quickly turned into a full-time effort with the team attempting to qualify in every race. With TJ Bell serving as the team’s “anchor driver”, this year became crucial to build a notebook for several new tracks. At select events, Niece would field two entries in preparation for growth in the following season.

Beginning in 2018, Niece expanded its operations to field two full-time entries in every Truck Series race with drivers Justin Fontaine and Austin Wayne Self. At some races, this included a third part-time team with an array of drivers. This year saw the team earn its first top-10 on-track results, with its highest team finishing 16th in the points standings.
