- On the Truck: Lewis’ No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado RST will race with support from J.F. Electric and Utilitra, who serve as his anchor partners for the season.
- Recapping Kansas: Landen Lewis and the Circle B Motorsports Auctions / J.F. Electric team battled adversity in Kansas. Starting the highest out of his teammates in 13th, Lewis held serve in the beginning of the race and gained valuable experience. Contact with the wall in stage two hindered the speed on the No. 45 truck, but Lewis continued to learn in his first mile-and-a-half start. While contending just outside the top-10, Lewis lost control of his truck in turn two and made hard contact with the inside wall in the closing laps. With too much damage to continue, the team was done for the evening in 34th-place.
- Owner Points Outlook: Lewis’ 34th-place finish in Kansas dropped the No. 45 team to 10th in the owner point standings. With five races left in the Chase, Lewis finds himself 28 points behind ThorSport Racing’s No. 88 team in ninth, and 136 points behind the points-leading TRICON Garage No. 11 team.
- Quoting Lewis: Now that you have a mile-and-a-half race under your belt, what do you think you learned that can help you more at Charlotte?
“I think the biggest thing is the positioning and the timing of my runs. Things like that were experiences that I didn’t have last race going into Kansas, so I learned a lot from that weekend. I also learned that the fenders are my best friend, and I can’t have any damage to be able to go fast. I’m looking forward to Charlotte. It’s a different animal than Kansas for sure, but I know our team runs well here so I’m feeling pretty optimistic about our chances with the J.F. Electric Silverado.”
