- Key Takeaway: Landen Lewis and the J.F. Electric team had their race ruined by an early crash due to contact from the No. 5 truck on lap 14. Lewis, with heavy damage to the right side and rear end of his truck, was able to remain on track despite being several laps down. The No. 45 team came home with a 32nd-place finish, but most importantly, were able to clinch their spot in the owner Chase. Lewis will lead the team to a bid for the owner’s championship beginning next race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
- Landen Lewis’ Post-Race Thoughts:
“Today was obviously not the day we wanted, that’s fore sure. We just put ourselves in a hole early on, but honestly still had a pretty good truck even with all the damage. I’m really proud of the truck we brought this weekend. I thought we made a lot of swings that were in the right direction this week. The biggest thing I can take away after talking with Phil [Gould] is that we’ll start over with a clean slate at Bristol and show up with a clear head to try and run after an owner’s championship. Luckily, Bristol is a place that I’ve had really good runs at before, so I’m looking forward to going there next and starting fresh for the Chase.”
