Track: Michigan International Speedway
Location: Brooklyn, MI
Date & Time: Saturday, June 6 | 1:30 PM ET

No. 45 DQS Solutions & Staffing Chevrolet Silverado RST

Driver: Ross Chastain | Crew Chief: Phil Gould

Start: 15th | Stage 1: 10th | Stage 2: 7th

Finish: 17th | Driver Points: N/A | Owner Points: 8th

- Key Takeaway: Ross Chastain and the DQS Solutions & Staffing team ran inside the top-10 throughout the race in Michigan, but needed a late caution to rally back to the finish they were hoping for. Chastain drove the No. 45 Silverado to solid finishes in both stages and kept his nose towards the front of the pack all race long. The No. 45 team elected to save a set of new tires in hopes of a late yellow flag, but it proved to be the final stop of the day as the race ran green till the end. Trapped on old tires, the team drifted back to a 17th-place result.

- Ross Chastain’s Post-Race Thoughts:

I hate that we couldn’t have gotten the finish we were capable of today. Our truck was good, and we were able to stay near the front pack for most of the day. When we got down to the last pit stop, we decided we couldn’t win the race if we did what everyone else did, so we were hoping that we could outsmart them and make a run to the lead if we had another caution. It’s a shame we never got to see that play out, but I’m still proud of Phil Gould and our team for trying it. I’ll hand the keys over to Landen Lewis to take it from here, but I’ve had a blast running all these races in the No. 45 for Niece Motorsports. I told the guys that the quality of trucks have been higher than they’ve ever been before, and I can really tell everyone has been working hard. There are a few I wish we could have back, but I’m still happy overall with how our season went. I’m excited to see what Landen can do to finish off the year with them.
