Conner Jones is a 20-year-old first-generation driver who grew up racing in central Virginia. At the age of four in 2010, Jones began competing in go karts on dirt at his home track of Capital City Speedway before transitioning into asphalt racing at King George Speedway.

After a few years running in karts, Jones was moved up to the Mini Cup, Arena Racing USA, and Bandolero racing ranks in 2016 where he primarily competed in his home state at both Southside Speedway and Dominion Raceway.

In 2017, Jones claimed the Bandolero track championship at Southside Speedway after impressively winning 12 out of 14 events that season. It was at this point where he truly began to showcase his talents on the short tracks.

Jones began racing INEX U.S. Legends Cars the same year and was crowned the Virginia State Young Lions champion in 2017. He continued to race in that division for the next three years, earning several feature wins.

At age 13, Jones made his first start in full-bodied stock cars as he moved into a handful of Charger and Limited Late Model races at Hickory Motor Speedway in 2019. Jones was one of the youngest competitors in the field as he developed behind the wheel.

Throughout 2020, Jones competed in his first full-time season in the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Series – a series which he still competes in today. He also ran a hefty amount of Pro Late Model races throughout the southeast, picking up two wins at New Smyrna Speedway and finishing second in the World Series of Asphalt points standings.

With his eyes set on NASCAR, Jones made his ARCA Menards Series East debut in 2021 and finished inside the top-five in his first start at Nashville. Jones went on to make a handful of ARCA East and National Series starts over the course of the next three seasons.

As his success continued, Jones picked up his first CARS Tour win at Tri-County Speedway in 2022 and was formally recognized by NASCAR as one of its top-100 national short track drivers competing in the weekly series.

Once he turned 17-years-old in 2023, Jones was signed to ThorSport Racing to make his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) debut at Martinsville Speedway. Jones competed in nine races that year and won the World Series of Asphalt Pro Late Model championship.

In 2024, Jones made 13 NCTS starts and earned his best-career finish of 11th-place at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In the CARS Tour, he won two races at Tri-County Speedway and North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Jones first joined Niece Motorsports for a five-race stint in 2025 and returns to the team this year as a part-time driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado RST. He resides in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and enjoys fishing and spending his time outdoors while he’s not on the track.
