- Key Takeaway: Cleetus McFarland and the Circle B Motorsports Auction / Comprehensive Logistics team learned a lot and completed their goals in Michigan. Rolling off 29th, McFarland avoided near disaster on the backstretch on the first lap after getting loose underneath another truck. As the laps kept clicking off, McFarland gained valuable experience and picked up on speed with every run. In stage two, the No. 4 went for a long slide down the backstretch, but kept on racing with little-to-no damage. Despite only completing six laps in his debut race at Daytona, McFarland ran the entire 250-mile race and came home with a respectable 25th-place finish in his second-career NCTS start.

- Cleetus McFarland’s Post-Race Thoughts:

Interviewer: Cleetus, you told me yesterday that you wanted to get as much experience as possible, and you did that today. You got all the laps in. Big learning experience for you, what did you learn out there today?

Man, I learned a ton. Corey Heim won, and I basically got second, obviously, because I finished, and I’m now 50% on finishing my truck races. I made it past my record of six laps. You know, the biggest thing that I really learned was driving the truck sideways a little bit. Obviously, I did have one mishap, but I spent so many laps sideways. These trucks have such a big wing, and so much side force. When the truck steps out, you can really keep driving through it. I think back to Daytona when I wrecked. The truck stepped out, and I just was like, ‘oh man’, and turned down the track, wham. Now, I know the limits and I feel so much better about Talladega. I couldn’t thank Niece Motorsports enough and DQS Solutions & Staffing, Circle B Motorsports Auctions, and Comprehensive Logistics. What a great day.
