- Key Takeaway: Connor Hall and the Circle B Diecast / Niece Products of Kansas team had quite the eventful outing in Kansas. After starting in 31st, Hall drove to 20th in stage one with a fast truck. Early on, Hall spun in turn two and had to gain his track position back, but kept in the hunt. At the end of stage two, Hall found himself in nearly the exact same position and went for a spin after making contact with another competitor. With no damage, the team pressed on and marched forward yet again after the rain delay. Hall climbed all the way into the top-10 during the final stage, but was pushed into the wall on the front stretch by another truck which cut a tire down and prompted a green flag pit stop. The No. 4 team lost several laps repairing the damage and was credited with a 32nd-place result.
- Connor Hall’s Post-Race Thoughts:
“I made a rookie mistake in the first spin tonight; I was just on the edge running the top when I had the air get shut off and lost it over the seam. We were able to drive back through the field, then I had another racing incident after getting hit in the left-rear and basically spun the exact same way again off turn two. When we got back there in stage three, I felt like I was in a really good spot. I picked off two rows by going three wide on the bottom and was right behind some of the front runners. I felt like we definitely could have fought for a top-five, if not a top-10 for sure if we didn’t have that wreck on the front stretch happen. The truck behind me just had a huge run and tried drafting with me but pulled out too late and sent me right-front first into the outside wall. We had a lot of speed tonight and I’m super thankful to all of the guys on the No. 4 team for bringing me a fast truck.
