- Key Takeaway: Matt Mills and the No. 42 team fought overheating issues early at Martinsville. Before the team was able to diagnose the issue, Mills' engine shut off which dropped him a handful of laps down. The J.F. Electric crew was able to hook the cooldown unit onto the truck which kept him in the race, multiple laps down. Mills came home 27th with an otherwise clean truck.
- Matt Mills' Post-Race Thoughts:
“We really didn’t have a chance to race much at all tonight, unfortunately. About 30 laps into it, we started having overheating issues. The water temperature climbed to about 300 degrees, then our motor started sputtering and shut off on us. We lost laps trying to get back to pit road and cool it back down, so that made us have to ride the rest of the night out. I hate it for all the guys on our J.F. Electric team, but am looking forward to next weekend in Phoenix.”
