- First Timers: Niece Motorsports will field three rookies set to make their track debuts at Kansas this weekend. Connor Hall, Parker Eatmon, and Landen Lewis will each make their first starts on a mile-and-a-half track on Saturday, having raced primarily on short tracks throughout their young careers.
- Welcome Race Fans: The organization will host its second annual Fan Day event on Thursday, October 8 leading into the fall Charlotte race weekend at its home base in Salisbury, NC. The event, which is free to attend, will be open to the public and will feature a driver autograph session, partner activation displays, merchandise/food sales, a special paint scheme reveal, shop tours, and a live show on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Parker Eatmon will make his first-career start in any series at Kansas on Saturday.

- On the Truck: Eatmon’s No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado RST will race with support from J.F. Electric, and will dawn a new black and red paint scheme.
- Recapping Bristol: Parker Eatmon and the Vetted Ventures team fought electrical issues throughout the race in Bristol. Eatmon started 11th in the 250-lap event, but slipped back in the first two stages. Noting that his truck was reporting signs of low voltage, Eatmon came to pit road at the end of stage two so the crew could diagnose the issue. The team was able to replace the battery, but lost multiple laps in the process. Eatmon nursed the truck home to a 31st-place finish.
- Owner Points Outlook: Eatmon’s 31st-place finish in Bristol dropped the No. 42 team back to 24th in the overall owner point standings. Entering Kansas, the team is four points behind Kaulig Racing’s No. 10 team in 23rd, and conversely is 28 points ahead of Rackley W.A.R.’s No. 26 Chevrolet in 25th.
- Honoring Cancer Heroes: The No. 42 truck will carry the names of two very special passengers on board this weekend as a part of the Honor a Cancer Hero program organized by The NASCAR Foundation and AdventHealth.
Riding along the driver’s side will be Patrick Anderson from Lawrence, KS, who is actively fighting brain cancer. Anderson has had multiple brain surgeries, and was nominated by his wife, Nicole. As a longtime fan of the team, Patrick will attend the race with his family.
Riding along the passenger’s side will be Miranda Skye, a child from Valparaiso, IN, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) at just four months old. Skye put up a courageous fight and entered remission, only to be diagnosed once again a few months later. Tragically, she passed away at only two-and-a-half years old. She was nominated by father, Art, who will attend the race along with her uncle.
- Quoting Eatmon: What are your thoughts on heading to Kansas Speedway for the first time?
“I’m super excited to race at Kansas. I’ve talked to a lot of drivers about this track and everyone has told me they love racing here. There are a lot of different lines you can run, and you have a lot of racetrack to work with. I’ve never experienced this much speed at a track before, so this will be a new challenge for me to learn. Our J.F. Electric Chevy looks great and I can’t wait to get it on the track this weekend.”
